Xiaomi just announced the Mi CC9 Pro with its ridiculous 108MP penta camera setup. That means not only does the phone offer five rear cameras like the Nokia 9 PureView, but one of them also includes a high-resolution 108MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor. With such a versatile and promising camera system, it doesn’t come as a surprise that DxOMark has ranked it the highest rated smartphone camera with an overall score of 121.
The Mi CC9 Pro now ties with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro as the top-rated smartphone camera on DxOMark’s camera ratings. The professional smartphone camera rating website has been updated to show the two phones take the top two ranks, pushing the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G and Huawei P30 Pro to third position and fourth positions, respectively.
To be clear, DxOMark has reviewed the Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition and not the regular model. However, the cameras remain the same on both versions. The Penta camera setup includes a 108MP Quad-Bayer sensor, a 20MP ultra wide-angle lens, two telephoto lenses and a macro camera.
According to DxOMark, the Mi CC9 Pro’s camera setup delivers “excellent results in just about every type of photographic situation.” The website praises the image quality in outdoor daylight conditions, highlighting “accurate exposures with excellent detail preservation while managing noise well”.
Mi CC9 Pro is set to launch globally as the Mi Note 10 on November 6. In addition to a penta camera setup, the latest Xiaomi smartphone also touts a 6.64-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 730G SoC and a 5,000mAh battery, among other things.
